Hosted by DITL Hudson, virtual seminar entitled:
"A Retrospective: Twenty Years of Day in the Life of the Hudson and Harbor"
STANYS NYC Section Leadership is again offering monthly virtual events at no cost to STANYS members.
To kick off the 2022-2023 school year, we are partnering with the folks who organize “Day in the Life of the Hudson”, an annual event that celebrates the Hudson River Estuary and educates participants each fall.
Join us on Thursday 9/29/22 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm for a virtual workshop.
In this session we will:
1. Look at the newly revised and NYSSLS aligned DEC Hudson River Estuary curriculum materials for elementary, middle, and high school. These resources are a great introduction to the Day In the Life (DITL) Event for your students, or to use as extensions.
2. A quick dive into working with our Day in the Life data resources, what is available and how you can leverage it to make the day in the field a rich and meaningful learning experience.
3. Where have we seen changes, and what have we learned in our 20 years of working with this project?
This event is FREE and open to all members. Please invite your colleagues and other science education friends who are not yet members of STANYS. Since this is a sponsored event, registration will close on Thursday 9/15/22.
