Recently, the opioid epidemic has exploded in the United States. In this session, participants will learn how to genotype and statistically analyze fictional patient samples based on their rs1800497 DRD2/ANKK1 SNPs. Using evidence, they will predict addiction risks for opioid abuse and treatment as reflected in research. Participants will also learn to permeate opioid addiction science into concepts like population statistics, allelic frequencies, pedigrees, DNA function, cell communication, gene expression, biotechnology, and bioethics in their lessons
