Encouraging Student Exploration with Google Earth (Novice Level)

  • 21 Oct 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • ZOOM Online

Presenter: Sean Ellison

Google Earth is a powerful tool that can be used to inspire and encourage student exploration of the world they live in. Once a stand alone program, Google Earth is now a web-based platform that students can use on any device to experience global phenomena- not only on a spacial scale, but a temporal one as well. Much like online document editors, students can create, share, and collaborate as a part of their explorations. Participants will be introduced to the basics of Google Earth, including where to find pre-made resources and how to create their own projects.
