PROFESSIONAL LEARNING from STANYS for STANYS Members |
We are excited to announce that the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) will be offering free professional learning (PL) opportunities to its members. This virtual PL will be delivered through Zoom throughout the school year. In order to gain access to the calendar of offerings (register ...) , you will be using your official membership email - the email that STANYS has on file at which you receive STANYS correspondence - to access the STANYS Virtual PL "Guidebook". |
GUIDEBOOK - the "Window" to accessing pl sessions and RECORDED PAST SESSIONSThe instructions on how to access the Guidebook through a website can be found below. Any shared resources from the presenters will be housed on the Guidebook for your convenience. All of the virtual sessions will be in the evening hours and be an hour in length; depending on how many session requests we receive, Saturday offerings may also be possible in the foreseeable future.
(NOTE: You may "pop" the PDF below out into its own window using the upper right boxed arrow.) | PL, GUIDEBOOK and COLLABORATIONThe STANYS Virtual PL Guidebook also allows you to keep in touch with members from around the state. You will have the ability to send chat messages to individuals on this platform. With the unfortunate cancellation of this year’s conference, we want to make sure that you still have the ability to connect and collaborate with the amazing science teachers throughout the organization. In addition, please be sure to check out the sponsor pages, as some of them will be sharing resources and offering sessions throughout the year. BE A PRESENTER, ASK A QUESTIONIf you are interested in presenting yourself, please fill out our Presenter Google Form. If you have any questions about the Guidebook platform or the PL opportunities, please feel free to contact Matt Christiansen (vicepresident@stanys.org) or Lisa Brosnick (pastpresident@stanys.org). We look forward to seeing you at our first sessions starting on October 19th. FYI: Workshop List
