This award is given to someone outside of STANYS who has made exceptional contributions in the area of science or science education.

Executive Committee Award Recipient 2008

Theodore Sawyko was honored by the Executive Committee for his leadership in bringing professional development opportunities to teachers through various activities including the Science Educators' Conference in Rochester. The regional two-day conference, held at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, attracted educators from central and western New York State for over 25 years.
